Backpack “Ladybug”

The size of the backpack is approximately 22 cm x 30 cm.

For work you need:

– one skein of red and black thread (acrylic, 200 g. / 333 m);

– hook: 4 mm;

– 2 larger buttons and 2 smaller buttons.

Knitting density: 16 Sc = 10 cm; 24 rows = 10 cm. To obtain the required knitting density, use a suitable hook.

Note: when switching to a thread of a different color, do not cut the working thread, but simply continue knitting with another thread of a different color. A red ball needs to be unwound a small ball for parallel knitting.

Ch- is the air loop;

Sc- is a single crochet;

Dc – double crochet;

Dec – decrease (tie two single crochet from two columns);

Row 1 (front side): we knit with a red thread 21 Ch, Sc in the second loop from the hook and in each following; turn – 20 Sc.

Row 2: 1 Ch, 2 Sc in the next loop, Sc in each column to the last, 2 Sc in the last column; turn – 22 Sc.

Rows 3-8: repeat the 2nd row; turn – 34 Sc.

Rows 9-24: 1 Ch, Sc in each column; turn.

Row 27: 1 Ch, Dec, Sc in the next 5 columns, change the thread, 16 Sc black, change the thread, Sc in the next 5 columns, Dec; turn – 12 Sc red and 16 Sc black.

Row 28: 1 Ch, Dec, Sc in the next 3 columns, change the thread, 18 Sc black thread, change the thread, Sc in the next 3 columns, Dec; turn – 8 Sc red and 18 Sc black.

Row 29: 1 Ch, Dec, Sc, change the thread, Sc in the next 20 columns, change the thread, 1 Sc, Dec; turn – 4 Sc red and 20 Sc black.

Row 30: 1 Ch, Dec, change thread, 20 Sc black, change thread, Dec, change thread; turn – 2 Sc red and 20 Sc black.

Row 31: continue knitting with black thread, 1 Ch, Dec, Sc in the next 18 columns, Dec; twist – 20 Sc black thread.

Row 32: 1 Ch, Sc in each bar; turn.

Row 33: 1 Ch, Dec, Sc to the last 2 columns, Dec, turn – 18 Sc.

Rows 34-36: repeat the 33rd row; turn – 12 Sc.

Row 37: repeat the 32nd row; do not turn.

Front harness.

On the front side continue with a black thread, 2 Sc to the last column of the 37th row, Sc evenly to the beginning of the red bars, change the thread, Sc evenly to the first row, 3 Sc to the 1st column of the 1st row, Sc to each column, 3 Sc to the last column of the 1st row, Sc evenly along the edge to the beginning of the black columns, change the thread, Sc evenly to the end, connecting loop to the first loop. Fasten the thread and cut.

Rear end. Knit as the front of 37 rows, turn.

Row 48: 1 Ch, Sc in the next 7 columns, Sc in the buttonhole, four Sc, Sc in the other buttonhole, 7 single crochets; turn – 20 Sc.

Row 49: 1 Ch, Dec, Sc in each column to the last 2 columns, Dec; turn – 18 Sc.

Rows 50-52: 1 Ch, repeat the 49th row; turn – 12 Sc.

Row 53: 1 Ch, Sc in each column, do not fasten the thread.

Rear harness.

Tie on the front side as well as the front.

Decorations on the front.

Black dividing strip: can be embroidered with stitches with a needle, or you can crochet along the entire front.

Spots (6 parts).

Row 1: knit with black thread, 3 Ch, connect into a ring, 3 Ch (as the first Dc), 8 Dc in the ring, a connecting loop to the first Dc. Fasten the thread, leave about 20 cm of thread for sewing. Sew stains to the front.

Lower belts.

Right belt.

Row 1: attach the black thread to the 3rd column of the 3rd row of the back on the front side, Sc, another 3 Sc in the next 3 columns of the same row; turn – 4 Sc.

Row 2: 1 Ch, 4 Sc, turn.

Rows 3-6: repeat 2nd row, turn.

Row 7: 6 Ch, skip all the columns of the sixth row, the connecting loop in the last column (a loop of 6 air loops. Fasten the thread and cut.

Left belt.

Row 1: attach the black thread to the 19th column of the 3rd row of the back part on the front side, Sc, another 3 Sc in the next columns of the same row, turn – 4 Sc.

Row 2: 1 Ch, 4 Sc, turn.
